The Romanian women's gymnastics team took first place in the team competition within the European Gymnastics Championship 2008 held in Clermont-Ferrand (France).
The Romanian team was formed of Steliana Nistor, Sandra Izbasa, Gabriela Dragoi, Anamaria Tamarjan and Cerasela Patrascu. - Romania - Gimnastica.
These are our golden girls and the women's team have taken a medal of one colour or another for the past 48 years in the Olympics. We are so proud of these girls and their record will NEVER be broken, not even by USA or China.
USA has 40 times as many people as Romania and $millions to throw at gymnastics, China has 55 times as many people and an endless pit of cash to show the world how good they are.
Romania has just 22 million people and not a lot of cash and it is only in Beijing that USA and Chine finally got in front of Romania. BUT WE WILL BE BACK AND OUR GIRLS WILL BE GOLDEN AGAIN !!!!
